Silver Generation Office Mascot Design

Silver Generation Office hosted a mascot design competition which accepted entries from art institutions. The brief was to design a mascot that embodies the organizations' values while also appealing to the elderly. I tried to design a Phoenix mascot to portray the resilience of how a phoenix rises from ashes just as how the elderly are resilient despite their current state. The mascot is drawn in a Sanrio-esque style to evoke a sense of familiarity as some elderly I know are familiar with some sanrio characters like hello kitty.
